Terms for using this website
Last updated 17 August 2026. These terms govern your use of checkpointnomad.com and the submission and contact forms on it. Publishing work itself is governed by a separate signed agreement — this page never replaces one.
1. Who these terms are with
Checkpoint Nomad, c/o Kubra Gurkan Kose, Bornholms Alle 17, 3. 1, 2630 Taastrup, Denmark, registered in Denmark under CVR 45843653, EU VAT DK45843653, registered on 01.10.2025. Contact: info@checkpointnomad.com, +45 87 65 43 21. The full company record is on the company identity page.
2. What this website is
An information site describing our publishing services and a portal for game developers to submit projects. It sells nothing to consumers, takes no payment, hosts no game and gives no professional, financial or legal advice. Content is provided for general information and may be updated at any time.
3. Submissions
- Submitting a pitch does not create a publishing agreement. Any deal is set out in a signed contract, and we do not charge developers a fee to read or evaluate a submission.
- Submitting is free. We do not charge developers to read, assess, list or publish a game, and we will never ask you to pay for consideration. If someone asks you for money in our name, it is not us.
- You keep every right in your game. Sending us a build or a design document grants us permission to open, run and internally assess it for the purpose of evaluating the pitch, and nothing else.
- You confirm that you have the right to send what you send — that the material is yours or licensed to you, and that sharing it with us breaks no agreement you have with someone else.
- We assess many projects and may already be working on, or later work on, a game that resembles yours. That is not a use of your material, and this clause is not a claim on your ideas.
- Do not send us anything you are not willing to have read by the people assessing it. If you need a non-disclosure agreement in place first, tell us and we will sign one before you send the build.
4. Publishing services and funding
- Any publishing relationship exists only under a signed written agreement that sets out scope, milestones, revenue share, rights, territories and term.
- Development funding is a commercial publishing agreement financed from Checkpoint Nomad’s own capital and recouped from revenue of the published title. It is not a loan, deposit, security, investment product or public offering, and we give no financial advice.
- Publishing outcomes depend on the game, the market and the launch window. We do not promise sales, revenue, wishlists, chart positions, platform approval or store featuring.
- Store, platform and certification approvals are decisions of the platform holders. We prepare and submit; approval and its timing are not ours to give or to promise.
- Age ratings are issued by the platform holders and rating boards (PEGI, ESRB, USK, IARC), never by the publisher. A title carries no rating here until the board has issued one.
5. Intellectual property and trademarks
The text, layout, generated artwork and code of this website belong to Checkpoint Nomad unless stated otherwise. Store and platform names are used to describe where we distribute. They are trademarks of their owners and their use does not imply endorsement, partnership or approval. Game titles, studio names and logos referred to anywhere on this site belong to their respective owners.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not use the forms to send unlawful, defamatory, infringing or malicious content.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its API or its database, and do not run automated submissions against it.
- Do not impersonate another studio or person when you submit.
- We may decline or delete a submission that breaks these rules, and we may block access where necessary to keep the service available.
7. Availability and accuracy
We keep this site accurate and available but do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or complete. Links to storefronts and third-party sites are provided for reference; we are not responsible for their content.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Danish law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost data or lost business arising from use of this website. Liability arising from a publishing agreement is governed by that agreement, not by this page.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Danish law, and the Danish courts have jurisdiction. If you have a complaint, write to info@checkpointnomad.com or to the registered address above — that is the first and fastest route, and we would rather resolve it directly. This site sells nothing to consumers, so no consumer alternative-dispute-resolution scheme applies to it.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top of the page shows when they last changed. Use of the site after a change means the updated terms apply.
